Apple Pie Smoothie

In honor of the first day of Fall I wanted a special treat. Since I don’t drink pumpkin spice lattes I decided to whip up something of my own to observe the Autumnal Equinox. Try this Apple Pie Smoothie if you’re looking to spice up your usual shake!

I usually use water as a base in my smoothies to save on calories, but wanted a fall treat. Since I have a juicer, I made fresh apple juice from 2 apples and a cube of ginger, otherwise use the freshest available.

  • 8 oz. fresh apple juice
  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1 T. almond butter
  • 1/4 t. cinnamon
  • dash of allspice
  • dash of clove
  • 1 scoop vanilla vegan protein powder
  • flax, chia & hemp seeds
  • Whip it up and enjoy! As this particular drink has over 500 calories, it is intended to be a meal replacement, not a snack.
