Homemade Power Bombs Recipe
These homemade power bombs are the perfect snack to keep handy.
Not only are they healthy, a delivery method of super foods like chia and flax seeds,
but they’re also less expensive than packaged products and more environmental too!
They make excellent pre-work out fuel or take a few with you when you’re on the go. They even make a great dessert when you want just a little bite.
The mixtures are endless, but the base is the oats, nut butter & lemon juice.
- 1 cup oats
- plop of almond butter
- splash of maple syrup (or honey)
- juice of half a lemon
- chia, flax, hemp, amaranth or whatever other seeds you desire (a spoonful of each)
- 1/4 -1/2 cup dried fruit such as dates, goji berries, apricots or cranberries
- You could also add a scoop of chocolate flavored protein powder, cocoa nibs, or roll in cocoa or shredded coconut.
Blend in food processor then roll into balls.
Will last in the fridge for a week!
