Papaya Cashew Smoothie

This recipe was born one hot Indian evening. We gave it the name Sunset Sadhu inspired by the in season plump orange papayas and the dependable warm Mysore sunsets in South India. This Papaya Cashew Smoothie is the perfect snack or light dinner packed to refuel or prepare you for your yoga practice. It is full of good fats for your heart, omega 3 fatty acid for your brain, potassium to keep you hydrated and turmeric for inflammation. Enjoy the health benefits of this smoothie and it’s delicious taste pre or post practice for a truly holy experience!

Throw all the ingredients below in a blender and enjoy!

  • 1 banana
  • 1 papaya
  • A handful of cashews
  • 1/2 teaspoon of turmeric
  • 1/2 cup of fresh coconut milk or coconut water
  • 1/2 teaspoon of flax seed
  • 1 tablespoon of homemade peanut butter
